2006 US Disc Golf Championship (USDGC) DVD - Lead Group Live #12823

The USDGC has earned a place as one of disc golf's premier events through its "One Division One Champion" philosophy. One division, one champion, one amazing DVD. What makes this DVD so special is the commentary. Not only can you watch the country’s best compete on the physically, emotionally, and mentally challenging Winthrop Gold course, viewers are provided with amazing, insightful commentary by Billy Crump, Barry Schultz, and Brian Schweberger. To hear these pros describe their thought-shot process, disc selection, and how they maintain composure during the round is an invaluable resource for those developing their game into the professional level. Also, watch Steve Brinster’s near ace on Hole 1.

What is this sport anyway? Disc golf (also referred to as "frisbee golf") is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a flying disc, or Frisbee®. The sport was formalized in the 1970s, and shares with "ball golf" the object of completing each hole in the fewest number of strokes (or, in the case of disc golf, fewest number of throws). Currently, there are more than 1,750 disc golf courses worldwide, with over 1,400 in the USA.
