Disc Golf - All You Need to Know #6065

This book, Disc Golf - All You Need to Know About the Game You Want to Play, is an excellent resource for new players and those who have been playing a while, but are looking for some pointers.

This book is broken into the following chapters:
- History of Disc Golf
- The Basics
- Your First 18 Holes
- Beyond the Basics
- Throwing Techniques
- Putting
- Approach Shots
- Driving
- Rules & Etiquette
- Variations of Play
- The Zen of Disc Golf
- Disc Golf Resources

The book also features a glossary, disc appendix, and index. Great for new players because it covers all of the basics in an easy-to-read format and provides an excellent overview of the sport. We also recommend it for those who are looking to add new shots to their game, like the side-arm, overhand, or roller.

What is this sport anyway? Disc golf (also referred to as "frisbee golf") is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a flying disc, or FrisbeeŽ. The sport was formalized in the 1970s, and shares with "ball golf" the object of completing each hole in the fewest number of strokes (or, in the case of disc golf, fewest number of throws). Currently, there are more than 1,750 disc golf courses worldwide, with over 1,400 in the USA.
